Our Piaggio Ape is due to receive an electric drivetrain with hub motors.
The story
From the idea to the result.
The Ape belongs to endless bikes and should become more than an advertising and transport vehicle. We want to retain the existing three-wheeled structure and convert the drive to electric hub motors. The project sits at the intersection of vehicle engineering, electrics and the question of how much old material can sensibly be reused.
